Dietary Guidelines 2026
A deep dive into the new standards prioritizing proteins and healthy fats.
1. Protein First Strategy
The 2026 guidelines recommend a minimum of 1.2g to 1.6g of protein per kg of body weight. Prioritize ruminant meat (beef, lamb), eggs, and wild-caught fish. Protein is the most satiating macronutrient and essential for metabolic health.
2. Healthy Fats & Tallow
Stop fearing saturated fats. The guidelines reintroduce Butter, Ghee, Tallow, and Coconut Oil as preferred cooking fats. These natural fats are stable at high heat, unlike unstable industrial seed oils.
3. The Seed Oil Ban
Eliminate Soybean, Corn, Canola, and Sunflower oils. These "Vegetable Oils" are highly processed, prone to oxidation, and linked to chronic inflammation. Check labels on all packaged foods.
